Sparkling lights, adorned trees and nativity scenes bring the territory to life once again. The Christmas season has finally arrived. While the city of Bologna has already begun hosting markets, events, and moments dedicated to Christmas, the metropolitan area is not far behind.
From December 2nd to December 24th, Imola transforms into a true Christmas village with Christmas markets in the Galleria del Centro Cittadino and in Piazza Gramsci. Pro Loco Imola presents "Art in the Center" offering many unique gift ideas. On December 31st, get ready to dream with "Dream, a Dream of Peace" a pyrotechnic-multimedia show that illuminates the Rocca Sforzesca at midnight.
In Castel d'Aiano, the streets fill with over 100 nativity scenes, from the largest to those inside walnut shells. The Nativity Scene Exhibition can be visited in the parish park from December 8th to January 9th, with events like "Spending Christmas Eve Together" on December 24th and "The Epiphany Arrives" on January 6th.
Exhibition In Borgo Tossignano, on December 8th, Christmas Market with gastronomic stands and animations takes place in Piazza Don Bosco. From December 8th to January 6th, over seventy nativity scenes bring the village and its fractions to life.
On December 23, 2023 at 10:30 am, there is a grand opening of the Christmas season in the medieval village where, at 4:00 pm, you can attend the Gospel Concert. Following that, Santa Claus will give gifts to children.
In Crevalcore, from December 8th to January 6th, Via Roma hosts the Nativity Scene set up by the Fioreria "Angolo Fiorito." On December 17th, participate in the evocative Living Nativity Scene that winds through the streets of the historic center, providing a unique experience until the courtyard of San Silvestro. Take the opportunity to visit the Puppet Museum!
From December 22nd to January 15th, in Prunarolo di Vergato, "Luca's Nativity Scene" at Via Molino Serra 667 will make you relive the rural life of the Mountain from 60 years ago. An artistic work worth a visit, open every day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
From December 2nd to January 6th, Molinella lights up with the lighting of the lights. The Christmas Market, at the Municipal Auditorium in Via Mazzini 90, offers entertainment for young and old, games, and traditional delights.
On December 10th, from 10 am to 6 pm, the city hosts a special day of food, games, and activities designed for children.
From December 1st to January 7th, in Piazza Antonio da Budrio and Piazza Otto Marzo, admire the nativity scene exhibition by sculptor Marcello Magoni. From December 8th to 10th, enjoy events and markets in Piazza Filopanti organized by Merchants, Pro Loco, Confcommercio Ascom Bologna, and the Municipality of Budrio.
From December 2nd to December 22nd, Casalecchio dresses up with Christmas markets in Piazza del Popolo. An artistic route of nativity scenes is to be discovered in the Municipality, ensuring a magical atmosphere.
On January 5th in San Matteo della Decima, the countryside lights up with "Befana's Bonfires". A show of fireworks, mulled wine, and much celebration awaits visitors.
On December 3rd in Galliera, in Piazza Eroi della Libertà, Christmas markets offer hot chocolate, mulled wine, children's shows, and the arrival of Acrobatic Santas.
December 10th is dedicated to the little ones with "Children's Christmas." On December 17th, the Church of Calderino hosts an evocative Christmas Concert.
On December 10th in Bazzano, the Santa Lucia Festival animates the streets with markets, gastronomic stands, and a children's party. On December 16th and 17th, "Natalissimo" brings traditional Christmas markets and delicious tastings.
The medieval village of Monteacuto comes to life every Saturday until January 15th with the Christmas Market. Gift ideas, a family atmosphere, and many delicacies await you.
On December 22nd, Christmas markets bring last-minute gifts to the main streets. Until January 15th, Cribs route will guide you through miniature representations of the nativity, from the center of the village to Alpe di Monghidoro.
From December 3rd, "Waiting for Christmas in Luminasio Square" offers craft markets, shows, mulled wine, and the Living Nativity Scene. From December 8th to 10th, it is dedicated to the "Festival for the Lighting of the Christmas Tree" with music, markets, and Santa Claus.
