Bologna
Historical house, housed inside Palazzo Torfanini building in the heart of Bologna.
In 1700, the architect Torreggiani renovated the Palazzo, giving the façade great elegance with high windows, but kept the 16th-century portico.
Of Renaissance origin, built in the first half of the 16th century (the capitals bear the date 1544), it is located in Via Galliera 4, in the centre of Bologna, a few steps from Piazza Maggiore and the Two Towers, in a very quiet area.
Very close to museums and monuments of historical and artistic interest, it boasts stupendous frescoes by Nicolò dell'Abate preserved in the Palazzo's interiors, some of which have now been transferred to the Pinacoteca Nazionale, depicting stories from Orlando Furioso and dating back to the mid-16th century, hence the name Alcina, from an episode depicted in Orlando Furioso, of the sorceress Alcina.
Breakfast is served in the lounges, and is particularly varied, carefully prepared, and express. The rooms are all large and spacious, measuring on average 30 to 45 square metres, with frescoed ceilings about 5 metres high.
All rooms are equipped with flat-screen Smart TV, free Wi-Fi fibre 1000 in all rooms and throughout the B&B, safe, etc.
Very comfortable Memory mattresses on 1700 independent pocketed springs with natural hypoallergenic pure merino wool filling.
All rooms have a bathroom and a courtesy line, hairdryer, toiletries, etc.
