Piazza Maggiore - Indipendenza
Paradisoterrestre gallery is a hybrid space between art and design. A gallery that is also a showroom of the homonymous brand, a historical brand of Italian design, already conceived in the late seventies by Dino Gavina and relaunched in 2017 by Gherardo Tonelli, with a catalog that ranges between re-editions of historic pieces and new collections. Creative director Pierre Gonalons conceived the interior design as the home of an 'ideal collector', inspired by the Italian style of the Seventies. The internal architecture of the enchanting first floor apartment respects the history of the building, located in the central area of the Quadrilatero a few steps from Piazza Maggiore in Via De’ Musei 4, while suggesting at the same time a contemporary living space. A house inhabited by objects for a total experience of the Paradisoterrestre universe between art, architecture and collectible design: from the Historical Design Selection unique pieces created by great masters who have made the history of design among which Carlo Scarpa, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Ignazio Gardella; from the Catalog historical re-editions including Margarita and Sacco Alato by Roberto Matta and Fiori Futuristi by Giacomo Balla and contemporary productions such as All Around collection designed in 2018 by Pierre Gonalons; from the Art Collection artworks by international artists the likes of Roberto Matta, Li Yuan-Chia, Alberto Biasi. Venue for important exhibitions - ULTRAMATTA _ Roberto Matta's amazing adventure in the world of design (2019) and TOBIA SCARPA _ Dall’arte della misura silenziosamente (2020) - and cultural events - the series of meetings dedicated to architects "DIALOGUES BETWEEN ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN"- Paradisoterrestre gallery-showroom is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, from 11am to 7pm.
