The functions of the Honorary Consulate are: to protect in Italy the interests of Montenegro and its citizens within the limits of international law; to encourage the development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between Italy and Montenegro and promote relations between the two countries; to provide assistance to Montenegrin government officials visiting Italy; to provide assistance to Montenegrin citizens in Italy; to protect the image and interests of Montenegro in Italy; to implement the tourism and investment opportunities in Montenegro, describing the possibilities of business.
All these functions and activities are carried out in close contact and under instructions by the Embassy in Rome.

We inform that the Embassy of Montenegro in Italy, although not issuing passports, thanks to the collaboration of colleagues from the Consular Directorate of the Ministry and the Consulate General of Frankfurt, has obtained the possibility to take biometric data (photo and fingerprint) of citizens who request it, only on 11 and 12 March, with the aim of releasing passports that would be subsequently delivered to the home address of the same (website link).
