Bologna
As of 1 July 2023, the 30 km/h car speed limit device will be active on many streets in Bologna. An experimental transition that will end on 1 January 2024, the date from which speeding fines will be issued.
The aim is to improve road safety, promote sustainable mobility and increase the quality and usability of the environment and public space. The roads affected by the 30 km/h limit are almost 70 per cent of those in the built-up area, excluding some roads used exclusively by motor vehicles with a 50 km/h limit.
