Contemporary composer, traditional musician or rockstar, Goran Bregovic has always done everything he could to create music which is universal yet unmistakeably his at the same time. Five years after the “Champagne for Gypsies” record, Goran Bregovic is back with a new production focused on the topic of religious diversity and pacific coexistence: "Three Letters from Sarajevo" was released in October 2017.
Bregovic carries the melting pot he tries to describe in his new album inside himself. The history of Sarajevo with its many beliefs, identities and complex paradoxes is in fact what inspired the new album of this Sarajevo local. Sarajevo is the metaphor of our times, a place where you live as good neighbours one day and are at war the next.
Few musicians have managed to develop such varied art that combines a large combination of styles and techniques without losing its identity. Goran Bregovic will play alongside an orchestra with 18 members.
