Tartufesta is the traditional festival held in the months of October and November, enlivening the towns of the Bolognese Apennines with markets, exquisite menus and other initiatives focused on the ‘fine white truffle of the Bolognese hills’.
Every year thousands of visitors are welcomed by the locals into Appennines' landscape, culture and -of course- food and wine tradition. The most prized product of this area, the white truffle of the Bologna hills, is the protagonist of the many events, including street markets, tastings held by producers, exhibitions, food stands, truffle dog competitions, conventions and themed meetings. An original way to spend a memorable weekend among the aromas and flavours of this land.
The initiative, coordinated and promoted by Città metropolitana di Bologna, takes place in 14 towns of the Bolognese Appennines
