Albert Speer is the architect of Hitler, the man who modeled his monumental architectural ambitions and designed the image of power. Processed in Nuremberg, he was imprisoned until 1966 in the Spandau prison, and died in London in 1981.
In this show, inspired by the secret Diaries of Spandau written during the 20 years in prison, the architect of power, has only an hour to tell his guilt and convince the spectators to issue a sentence. Because the devouring ambition, the obsession with the ideal of beauty, the desire to create a new world and the question whether to sell the soul to the devil or fight against the dominant ideologies, are the questions of every human being in the presence of atrocities of the world. The stage structure respects the dimensions of Speer's cell in Spandau prison: 3 meters long and 2.70 wide. It is here, in the dim light that Speer, architect of light, condemns and justifies himself at the same time.
