From 20th to 22nd September: Bologna hosts the 13th Race for the Cure edition, the biggest sport event to raise funds for supporting the fight against breast cancer in Italy and around the world at the Giardini Margherita, a public park just outside the city centre. Three days full of events for the whole family concerning health, prevention, solidarity and sport. Specialistic consultings at the "Health Village" area, meetings and public debates on proper nutrition and psycho - physical well-being and events for children will liven up the event. You can join to all these activities with a minimum donation of €13. The event, organized by Susan G. Komen Italia, ends on Sunday morning with the usual five-kilometre competitive race and the two-kilometre walk which is open to everyone visiting the city centre. Men, women and children may sign up for the Race for the Cure and the "Donne in Rosa" (Women in Pink) category, which is reserved for women who had or currently have breast cancer
