The exhibition is the fruit of the collaboration between Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna and Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro (ILO), Ufficio per l’Italia e San Marino. It focuses on professional training and female labour in an industrial context with particular attention to the Bologna territory. The photographs span the period between 1946 and 1970 and come from the photographic archives of the organisations involved. Two main themes emerge from the first part: images depicting the sewing and dressmaking courses for unemployed girls and photos from the Istituto Tecnico Industriale Femminile, a new school section of Aldini Valeriani. The second part is dedicated to work in the factory and features photos taken in some historic Bologna companies such as Farmac-Zabban, Weber, Ducati Elettronica e Arco.
