Porrajmos

This concert is an artistic-cultural narrated path, where the deep roots of a millennial people characterized by prismatic nuances and intense emotions are recalled through the sounds, the words and the colors. A journey into the intimacy of the history and culture of a transnational people. Interpreters with their professional training do not end in folklore, but raise tradition to a qualitative and suggestive artistic level. The wealth of rhythms, melodies and harmonies of Roman music has been exploited by many composers, from Liszt to Brahms, from Schubert to Debussy, but the Roma have never been fully acknowledged for their merit.
