Five actors and two musicians bring on stage events and characters emblematic of terrorism in Italy, recalling the shocking 55 days of the Moro kidnapping and bringing back to life a historical period that seems light years away from today's society, yet full of disturbing similarities with the present. To associate the word "musical", with all its baggage of collective imagination, to expressions like "years of lead" and Red Brigades appears almost a contradiction. But it is precisely in this contrast that the heart of the project is revealed: Piombo is a new way of telling one of the most tragic and controversial events of recent Italian history with the protagonists of the "Moro kidnapping" shown through an unprecedented point of view, far from rhetoric and clichés.
