On the roads of the Ancient Marshes of Bologna
The Plains
"On the trail of the Villanovans" by bicycle from Castenaso to Budrio. After visiting the Museum of Villanovan Civilization, a bike tour will take you to Budrio to immerse yourself in a countryside rich in history and in a still intact natural environment where agriculture integrates with the landscape thanks to a conscious anthropization. You will then arrive in Budrio where you can visit the Archaeological-environmental Museum and the rich Pinacoteca. After lunch return to Castenaso on the same route. Check the programme

Timetables

Meeting: MUV - Villanovan Civilization Museum of Villanova di Castenaso at 9:00 am

To follow: Guided tour of the MUV and at 11:00 am transfer by bicycle to reach Budrio, with an intermediate stop at the Fiesso Parish for refreshments.

Lunch: at La Cà di Metusco (Budrio)

To follow: guided tour of the Archaeological and Paleo-environmental Civic Museum Elsa Sivestri with its finds from the Villanovan Civilization

Return: at 5:00 pm visit to Budrio and return organization
