University Museum Network and Bologna University Library are glad to host the outcomes of ISLe (InSight Leonardo), “a digital communicative framework designed to replace, investigate, describe and communicate Leonardo’s drawings” created, through a long work, by the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna. The Fifth centenary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci gives us the opportunity to promote an original research on heritage that will allow truly extraordinary experiences starting from world-famous objects such as the great artist's drawings. Beyond mere aesthetic data, they are filled with a barely intelligible narrative to most people, if not conveyed through a truly enhanced communication. It is to be hoped that the focus of attention, beyond the event itself, remains upon the originality of this research and its outcomes: this, after all, is the peculiar challenge of the university's cultural heritage as part of the largest local and national repositories.
