The Plains
The second stage of the Grand Tour 2018 on the weekend of 15th and 16th of September, is focused on the plains around Bologna. The programme includes artistic and natural attractions from Argelato, Bentivoglio, Budrio, Minerbio, Pieve di Cento e San Giovanni in Persiceto. Visitors will have the opportunity to full-immerse themselves in the nature through suggestive walks. Moreover, many museums, such as the one on Civiltà Contadina in Bentivoglio and the Museo Magi ‘900 in Pieve di Cento, will be included in the Tour. Numerous art galleries and artistic exhibitions joined the programme, above all the Quadreria del “Ritiro San Pellegrino, located in Emil Banca’s historical residence, in Argelato. The Tour represents also an unique chance to visit amazing historical palaces, such as Palazzo Rosso, the Castello Bentivoglio, the Mulino Pizzardi and the Rocca Isolani. Last but not least, a bicycle tour is included, thanks to the collaboration with the Pedalalenta association. The Grand Tour 2018 in Bologna’s plain is an event promoted by Emil Banca and it is proudly supported by Bologna CItta Metropolitana, Unione Reno Galliera and Unione Terre di Pianura. Confcommercio-Ascom, Bologna Welcome have cooperated in the event’s organisation. In particular, thanks to the Accadamia delle Belle Arti di Bologna, students from the university course Didattica e Comunicazione dell’Arte will guide visitors through the historical and artistic background of the main attractions. We kindly remind you that each activity, guided tour or workshop is available on reservation until exhausted. Many restaurants and hotels will offer arranged prices and promotion for the events’ period.
