A reading of Giorgio Morandi’s works through a few and simple objects, a paint brush, a burin, a colour tube. This is the goal of the photo exhibition "Giancarlo Fabbi. Il silenzio della pittura" (Giancarlo Fabbi. The silence of the painting) at Casa Morandi, the original house-atellier of Giorgio Morandi, where the Bologna master's studio has been reconstructed and where the objects and materials he used to work with are stored. Curated by Massimo Recalcati, the exhibition features ten photos by Giancarlo Fabbi, which are intended to encourage a meta-reflection on some fundamental aspects of Morandi's painting: composition and geometric re-composition, focusing on a few themes, silence, solitude, absence of rhetoric and of any narration. When the exhibition closes, the series of ten photos will be generously donated by the Modena artist to Istituzione Bologna Musei and will become part of the heritage of Museo Morandi.
