In the Samoan language, the word "fa'afafine" defines those who do not identify themselves in one sex or another, and who enjoy consideration and respect. Alex does not live in Samoa, but he also wants to be a "fa'afafine". He is a "gender creative child": the even days is male and the odd is female, he says. His room is a world without borders: there are the sea and the mountains, the sun and the moon, the fish and the birds, all together. His bed is a raft or an airplane, a castle or a spaceship. Today for Alex is an important day: he decided to tell Elliot that he loves him, but not like the others, in a special way. What to wear to meet him? The princess dress or soccer shoes? Aviator glasses or flower necklace? Alex always has clear ideas about what he wants to be. But today it is different: he is in love for the first time, and feels that all this is no longer enough.
