General description
The Villa Buontempo farm holiday resort takes its name from the ancient Vatican land registers of the 17th century, which trace the origins of the estate, which has since expanded to cover an area of 22 hectares. The seven houses that make up the estate have been restored with a view to preserving and restoring the original structure as much as possible. Villa Buontempo is surrounded by a vast park adorned with dozens of rose gardens featuring different varieties. In the Buontempo courtyard there is also the large Casa Padronale (the former manor house), where you can admire the frescoed walls and, through the antique ceramics, discover a little of the villa’s history.
Alongside the tour, those who wish may take part in a tasting session featuring the house wine and artisanal specialities prepared by a sfoglina.
The tasting is optional and can be booked at the same time as purchasing the admission ticket at a cost of € 20.00 per person.
The tasting aperitif includes:
- Tagliatelle with traditional ragù
- Tortellini stuffed with courgettes
- Homemade stuffed piadina
- A glass of house wine or a non-alcoholic drink of your choice for each participant
Any food intolerances may be communicated after booking. Please note, however, that the menu is not suitable for people with coeliac disease, as the absence of gluten contamination cannot be guaranteed.
After making your booking, you will need to send an email to extrabo@bolognawelcome.it to report any food intolerances.
The guided tour is part of the ‘A journey among Villas and Castles’ series.
