Excursion to discover Monte Sole - Walks along the paths of the Italian Resistance

On Easter Monday, we offer a family-friendly excursion specially designed for children, with language and a route tailored to younger participants, to introduce them to the history of the area in a thoughtful and sensitive way.

We will follow the central section of the Memorial itinerary, discovering the events, people, places, and stories of the Nazi-Fascist massacre of Monte Sole, which took place in early autumn 1944.

A tragic episode—one of many that have marked this area of the Bolognese Apennines—which we will recount with care and sensitivity, so that children, too, can grasp its meaning through simple words, moments of listening, and opportunities for dialogue.

The depth of memory will be accompanied by Nature, which, step by step, will reveal its springtime renewal, offering images of light and hope.

Along paths, through breaths and silences, both young and old will be gently guided to reflect on today’s wars, seeking together to kindle a small flame of humanity and trust in the future

• Appropriate hiking clothing is mandatory (including a waterproof jacket and hiking boots).
• Trainers and casual boots are not permitted.
