Excursion for children to discover Monte Sole - Trekking along the paths of the resistance

On Easter Monday, we are offering an excursion designed for children, with language and a route suitable for young children, to introduce them to the history of the area in a conscious and sensitive way.

We will follow the central part of the Memorial itinerary to learn about the dynamics, facts, people, places and stories of the Nazi-Fascist massacre of Monte Sole, which took place in early autumn 1944.

A tragic event, among the many that have marked this area of the Bolognese Apennines, which we will recount with care and sensitivity, so that even children can understand its significance through simple words, moments of listening and opportunities for discussion.

The depth of memory will be accompanied by Nature, which, step by step, will reveal itself in its spring rebirth, offering images of light and hope.

Thus, among paths, breaths and silences, young and old alike will be guided to reflect - gently - on today's wars, trying together to light a small flame of humanity and trust in the future.

• Hiking clothing is mandatory (waterproof jacket and hiking boots)
