Le Budrie: the Sanctuary of Santa Clelia and the history of Palazzo Caprara - A journey among villas and castles

The tour will begin with a visit to the Sanctuary of Santa Clelia and the nearby ‘Casa del Maestro’, the place where the Saint died at a young age. From the garden, we will admire a picturesque view that combines the banks of the Samoggia River with the majesty of Palazzo Caprara, famous for its large paddocks dedicated to horses. Afterwards, a short drive will take us to her birthplace, a splendid example of 19th-century rural architecture that still houses period furnishings and ancient farming tools, such as looms and spinning wheels used for hemp.

The guided tour is part of the “A journey among villas and castles” exhibition.
