An excursion designed to enjoy the unique spectacle of sunrise at the top of the highest peak of the Bolognese Apennines: the golden horizon of a new day from the wild peaks of the Corno alle Scale. On this excursion we will climb to the top of the Corno along the enchanting Valle del Silenzio, exiting on the eastern ridge of the Corno, like a terrace on the sunrise. Once we reach the summit for sunrise, we will continue along the ridge to reach the Duca degli Abruzzi refuge at Lake Scaffaiolo, before descending again to the starting point.
Meeting: 3:45 am at Cavone.
