He loves to say that music is his whole life. Over his sixty-years-long career, Zubin Mehta has conducted orchestras all over the world, including collaborations with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Wiener and Berliner Philharmoniker that have lasted for over 50 years; he is currently honorary conductor of Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The Viennese tradition has always played a key role in his repertoire: his Interpretations of Schubert’s and Bruckner’s symphonies are memorable.
