Bologna
Soloist with a bright media profile, the Chinese pianist Yuja Wang has been collaborating for years with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, for recordings and tours throughout Europe. The program, from baroque to classical to the twentieth century, is quite eclectic. As a versatile interpreter, capable of refined virtuosity, Yuja Wang passes from Bach's Concerto in F minor to Janáček's lively and colorful Capriccio only for the left hand, up to the exuberant Concerto n.2 by Šostakovič, a carefree page composed in 1957 by the composer for his son.
