On Saturday, 20 June 2026, at 9:00 PM, Fondo Comini will host a live concert by Macho Beta Orchestra.

Macho Beta Orchestra is the new musical project created by Gionni Dall'Orto, a key figure in Florence’s music scene and a familiar presence on Italian stages since the 1990s alongside Articolo 31. The project brings together a multicultural lineup that includes several Brazilian musicians, creating a contemporary sound deeply rooted in the musical traditions of the 1970s and 1980s.

The band's lead vocalist is Gil Badarò, a seventy-year-old performer from Porto Alegre whose stage presence is marked by remarkable energy and charisma. Their debut album, produced by DJ Farrapo, was released in May.

Macho Beta Orchestra is also a cultural statement. Rejecting the concept of the “alpha male,” the project embraces a more inclusive, cooperative, and community-oriented vision. The “beta male” becomes a symbol of a different way of living together—free from competition and grounded in sharing, empathy, and a collective sense of enjoyment.
