Laudes Creaturarum – World premiere in Bologna.
On Saturday 26 September, at the Church of Santa Maria della Pietà in Bologna, the Amade’ Association, with its Choir and Orchestra conducted by Maestro Juan Miranda, will present the world premiere of Bruno D’Astoli’s Laudes Creaturarum, in the presence of the composer himself.
The work, inspired by St Francis’s Canticle of the Creatures and medieval liturgical drama, combines musical innovation with a profound spiritual dimension, in a sacred setting conceived by the composer as the ideal venue for its performance.
The evening opens with a special guest appearance by the Argentine violinist Pablo Saraví, who will perform Ottorino Respighi’s Suite No. 3 and the Adagio from K. 63 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
An event that brings together great repertoire, contemporary music and spirituality, to mark the 800th anniversary of the birth of St Francis.
