Joachim Cooder with Adriano Viterbini

Thursday, 26 March 2026 Joachim Cooder, son of Ry Cooder and star of legendary projects such as the Buena Vista Social Club, arrives at Locomotiv together with Adriano Viterbini, one of the most original and visionary guitarists on the Italian scene (Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, I Hate My Village, Jovanotti).

Joachim brings with him a lifetime spent on stages around the world, alongside giants such as Johnny Cash, Ali Farka Touré, Nick Lowe, Mavis Staples and many others, and his new album ‘Dreamer's Motel’, a refined journey through Americana, folk, roots, soul and alt-country.

The encounter with Viterbini gives rise to a unique and surprising musical dialogue: mbira, electric and acoustic guitars, traditional instruments such as ngoni and bouzouki intertwine in an intimate, powerful and nuanced live performance.

A concert where tradition and experimentation merge, and two very different paths find a common language.
