The life and words of Martin Luther King Jr. have been a source of inspiration for generations of musicians. Symphonies, musicals and orchestral suites have been written on the figure of King, even Dance, Techno, Punk and Heavy Metal songs. There are also songs of genres like folk, pop, country, beat, rock and easy listening, and of course all forms of Black Music are represented: from gospel to blues, from soul to funk, via Jazz, Reggae and Hip-Hop.

More or less well-known tracks that over the years have contributed to making Dr. King a pop icon, making him known to new generations and thus exponentially multiplying the reach of his message, although there is still a long way to go to fully realise that dream...
