On Friday, June 20 at Azienda Agricola Oro Di Diamanti (Zola Predosa), as part of Zola Jazz&Wine, there will be a concert by the Indigo Trio entitled D'amore e d'orgoglio and dedicated to Billie Holiday and Nina Simone.
The trio consists of Silvia Donati (vocals), Camilla Missio (double bass) and Francesca Bertazzo Hart (guitar).
The concert is an essential and intense tribute to Billie Holiday and Nina Simone, two iconic figures of jazz and African-American culture. Through voice, bass and guitar, their songs are reinterpreted with original arrangements that offer a fresh look at themes of love, pride and resilience. Holiday embodies the soul of the most authentic jazz, Simone that of soul and spirituals as a voice of protest and identity affirmation.
