On Thursday, 18 December 2025, as per tradition during the holiday season, the Teatro Duse is delighted to host a musical event that has become a symbol of the festivities: the concert of the Harlem Gospel Choir, the most famous and longest-running gospel choir in America.
Founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, the choir is composed of some of the most extraordinary voices from Harlem and New York City. With their unmistakable, energetic, and deeply spiritual style, the Harlem Gospel Choir brings to the stage a sonic and cultural experience that goes far beyond music: it is a message of love, peace, hope, and brotherhood.
Throughout an extraordinary career, the choir has performed on the most prestigious international stages, singing for the Royal Family, President Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, Elton John, two Popes, and taking part in memorable events such as the globally broadcast Michael Jackson memorial. Numerous world-renowned artists have collaborated with the group, including Diana Ross, Bono, Andre Rieu, Josh Groban, and the Gorillaz.
The performances of the Harlem Gospel Choir are marked by intense emotional involvement, capable of deeply engaging the audience and conveying a genuine sense of spirituality and togetherness. A unique opportunity to experience the power of American gospel during one of the most meaningful times of the year.
