Gile Bae

The inaugural concert of Pianofortissimo & Talenti features Gile Bae, a pianist with a very solid technique and a sparkling musical personality. Her debut as a soloist, at the age of five, is in a concert with orchestra in South Korea. Since then she has played with numerous orchestras and in various European countries. Her first prize arrives at the age of six, in the Netherlands, in 2000, with the International Steinway & Sons Piano Competition.

She has completed her studies with Naum Grubert, Elza Kolodin, Boris Petrushansky and Jean-Yves Thibaudet; she continues to specialize at the Imola Academy, where she studied with Franco Scala since 2002. In 2018 she was named "Bösendorfer Artist". In the program of his concert, fundamental pieces of piano literature follow one another chronologically, from Bach's "Concerto nach italienischen Gusto" with its typical dynamic jolts to the more dramatic and profound Mozart of Sonata KV 310, expression of that Sturm und Drang spirit that shakes even the genius of Salzburg.

In a second part dedicated to romantic pianism - of which Gile Bae is both sensitive and appreciated interpreter - there are Schumann's changing Humoreske and three Chopin's mazurkas, chosen from among the 57 written by the Polish composer throughout his life.
