On Wednesday, August 14, at 9 p.m., Bologna Estate greets Ferragosto with "La Filuzzi in Piazza," a popular music and dance event in Piazza Maggiore. The event, part of the "Sotto le stelle del cinema" program, is organized by the Culture and Creativity Sector of the Municipality of Bologna with the Cineteca di Bologna.
The event will be directed by Mauro Malaguti and will feature Massimo Budriesi's quartet, with the participation of accordionist Debora Battistini. A special tribute will be dedicated to Henghel Gualdi's 100th birthday, with Gigi Bondioli playing clarinet in his memory.
For Filuzzi fans, the event will be a special opportunity to dance to waltzes, polkas and mazurkas. Traditional Bolognese folk music hits will be performed live, while archival images will be projected on the big screen to celebrate this historic tradition.
