On Tuesday, July 2, in Bologna, in concert in the Chiostro Della Basilica Di Santo Stefano the young violin talent Federico Zaltron and the talented guitarist Duvan Dunayevsky.
Federico Zaltron, an Italian violinist who lives between Berlin and France, and Duved Dunayevsky, a French guitarist who seems to be the “reincarnation” of Django Reinhardt, will try their hand at the gypsy-jazz or manouche jazz repertoire, that is, the “hot” fusion of gypsy music with black jazz. It was invented by Django Reinhardt, a legendary guitarist of Sinti origin, the son of gypsy nomads, who was maimed in his left hand by a fire that destroyed his caravan. His music, original and unrepeatable, lives again in two devoted musicians who met in Paris eight years ago, joined on guitar and double bass by two Italian musicians united by a passion for manouche music.
