Matteo Rubini, born in Bologna in 1985, studied under the guidance of M° Sandro Baldi until his admission to the Conservatorio G. B. Martini in Bologna where he graduated with Prof. Fiorenza Barbalat passing the final piano exam with highest honors.
He followed advanced piano courses at the Accademia Pianistica “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola in the class of M° Igor Roma and at the Accademia Musicale in Florence under the guidance of Prof. Valentina Berman. He also attended master classes with M° Fabio Bidini as part of the Talent Master Courses (Brescia), Paolo Bordoni, Roberto Cappello, Leonid Margarius, Olaf John Laneri and Sofya Gulyak.
He has been awarded prizes in several national and international piano competitions: “Lia Tortora” International Piano Competition; Andrea Baldi International Competition ; IX “Città di San Giovanni Teatino” Piano Competition; VIII “Città di Bucchianico” National Piano Performance Competition; XVIV “Giulio Rospigliosi” National Piano Competition. He was a finalist in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Piano Competition (London) and a semifinalist in the VII Verona International Piano Competition.
