Concert by Ota Saya on piano June 23 at the Andrea Baldi Hall in Rastignano (Bo)
Saya Ota, born in Japan in 1994, began studying piano at the age of five. She is a graduate of “Tokyo University of the Arts” and received her master´s and doctoral degrees from the Mozarteum in Salzburg with M° Jacques Rouvier. She is currently studying with M° Leonid Margarius at the Imola International Academy “Incontri col Maestro.” She has won prizes and distinguished herself in numerous competitions including: 1st prize at the “17th Scriabin International Piano Competition” (France) in 2017, 1st prize at the “12th Massarosa International Piano Competition” (Italy) 2022, “Rosa Sabater” prize for the best interpreter of Spanish music at the “64th International Piano Competition Premio Jaén” in 2023 and also in 2023 3rd prize at the “Humberto Quagliata International Piano Competition” and 1st prize at the “8th Marbella International Music Competition” (Spain) and the 12th Andrea Baldi International Competition in Bologna. He has given numerous solo concerts in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya and Kobe) and Italy.
