150 years after Hector Berlioz's death - as a small tribute to his work and his figure - composers enrolled in the Accademia Filarmonica were asked to measure themselves with the concept of idée fixe within a musical form. Berlioz has disseminated his compositions of technical and musical innovations in a utopian vision capable of merging poetry, spirituality, nobility of expression together with the sense of the grotesque and the demonic. Idée fixe, in psychology, could refer to an obsession, an obsessive-compulsive disorder. What can it mean today in a new composition? What creative stimuli can arouse in a current composer and what new relationships can be investigated between the recurrence of a material, its image in terms of sound and the directionality of a musical form that lives over time? Seven composers, each bearer of their own original reading of this theme, reveal it in the concert performed by the Ensemble FontanaMIX.
