At the FILLA Auditorium, the CLASSICAdaFilla series dedicated to chamber music continues.
A program designed to bring audiences closer to the classical repertoire in an informal and welcoming setting, combining listening, storytelling, and conviviality.
Each concert is preceded by the customary aperitif at 10:30 am, followed by the concert at 11:30 am, offering an opportunity to meet and share around music.
The program spans different eras, styles, and ensembles: from duos and chamber groups to solo repertoire, from early music to Romantic and twentieth-century works, as well as thematic paths that engage with theatre, cinema, and opera. The series features musicians from the Orchestra Senzaspine alongside guest performers and ensembles, both Italian and international, in a calendar that highlights the diversity of musical languages and the richness of ensemble music-making.
The event is organized with the support of the Municipality of Bologna | Department of Culture and Creativity.

Quintetto Lunatico in "The Trout" by Franz Schubert
Adele Pätz Violin, Cora Bellati Viola, Clara Sette Cello, Lucio Corenzi Double Bass, Cosmè Zuffi Piano
Franz Schubert – Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667, for piano, violin, viola, cello, and double bass
Composed in 1819, the Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667, known as "The Trout," is one of Schubert’s most famous and beloved works. Published only in 1829, a year after the composer’s death, the piece stands out for its unusual instrumentation: alongside the piano and strings, it includes the double bass, creating a new and surprising tonal balance. The nickname "The Trout" derives from Schubert’s Lied “Die Forelle,” whose theme appears in the fourth movement, structured as a set of variations. The idea originated from a suggestion by Sylvester Paumgartner, a patron and amateur cellist, for whom the work was likely conceived. The Lied tells the story of a capricious and unpredictable trout, almost “lunatic,” convinced it can escape the fisherman but inevitably destined to be caught. An image both ironic and restless, running through the entire quintet. From this comes the name Quintetto Lunatico, which embraces its light and narrative spirit as an interpretative key.
The Quintetto Lunatico brings together musicians who have played together for years within the Orchestra Senzaspine: Adele Pätz on violin, Cora Bellati on viola, Clara Sette on cello, Lucio Corenzi on double bass, and Cosmè Zuffi on piano. The project stems from the desire to present classical music in a direct and accessible way, freeing it from the idea of a distant or elitist language and restoring it to an immediate and shared listening experience.

Isabella Ricci piano
Music by W. A. Mozart, R. Schumann, and F. Chopin
Curtains, scenes, and stories
The concert offers a journey through three visions of the piano, from luminous Classicism to full Romanticism, following a line of increasing expressive intensity. The Sonata K.333 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart opens the program with balance and clarity: an elegant, lyrical writing in which form and naturalness merge in a fluid and refined dialogue. With the Novellette op. 21 nos. 1, 3, 7, and 8 by Robert Schumann, the discourse unfolds in contrasting character pieces: momentum, introspection, tension, and narrative breadth alternate, reflecting the emotional complexity of the Romantic world. The journey culminates in Ballade No. 4 op. 52 by Frédéric Chopin, a great poetic arc in which themes transform and intertwine toward a conclusion of intense expressive power. A journey between light and shadow, restraint and passion, in which the piano becomes a voice of inner expression.
