Bologna
BMA is dedicated to young songwriters aged between 16 and 40 years-old. The main aim of the contest is to find them, valorize their artistic value and introduce them to the national music scene. Those applying to BMA must be authors, or co-authors. BMA’s candidates must attach to their application a music video and upload all the required material before July 15th. Then, before July 31st the artistic direction of BMA will announce the 9 selected artists taking a step toward the final phases. The tenth finalist is the young band OOTB, selected on May 5th in occasion of the Fiat Music event in Bologna. The 10 selected artists will perform at the FICO Eataly World Arena on September 8th-9th 2018. BMA’s final night takes places on September 29th 2018 at Teatro EuropAditorioum in Bologna. the event there will be characterized by a combination of exhibitions of the BMA’s finalists and of raising and prominent Italian artists.
