Andrea Lucchesini - Bologna Festival

On Tuesday, 20 May 2025 at 8.30 p.m. at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni, Maestro Andrea Lucchesini will perform at the piano.

Throughout his career, Andrea Lucchesini has always personally curated his concert programmes, seeking to create subtle connections and contrasts of character.

A clear example of this quest can be found in the programme of this recital: after the strong stylistic contrasts of Schumann's Fantasia in C major and the ‘narrative’ sequence of Chopin's Preludes op. 28, Lucchesini presents two works by Luciano Berio, which he has long frequented: the Six Encores (1965-1990) and the famous Sequenza for piano of 1966, which represent an exploratory journey into musical colour, between known and unknown territories.
