On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Teatro San Leonardo in Bologna will stage Amadé – Il viaggio di Mozart (Amadé – Mozart's Journey), a theater and music show for families and schools.

Amadé – Il viaggio di Mozart tells the story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart from a rare and human perspective: that of his father Leopold, a decisive and complex figure, from whom the composer will have to separate in order to gain his own freedom of expression.

The story retraces the stages of their journey through Italy: encounters, friction, enthusiasm, and the gradual realization that growth also comes through detachment. An intimate question emerges: how does Leopold experience the ‘abandonment’ of his son as he becomes an adult, ‘note after note’?

On stage, the narrative leads us into the heart of Mozart's creative universe, where music is not a backdrop but the substance of the story.
