Rocchetta Mattei is a castle built by the Count Cesare Mattei at the end of the XIX century on the ruins of an ancient medieval fortress; it’s a small jewelry situated is the Apennines between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, and recently restored and open to visitors. The fusion of different architectural styles, such as the Medieval Gothic with the Moorish style, makes the Rocchetta a incredible and fantastic place, full of very different rooms expertly decorated and linked by a labyrinthine plan of lodges, spiral staircases and towers.
