On Sunday, January 19th, Grand Tour Italia will host a unique communal table to welcome needy families supported by Cucine Popolari, a historic volunteer organization in Bologna, along with their volunteers. The event will focus on inclusion, creating a festive and social atmosphere with great food, live music from local artists, and entertainment for children, who will have access to all the attractions of the park, including the ice skating rink.
The event’s menu will feature a Sunday lunch prepared by Grand Tour Italia and its partner restaurants, in collaboration with the chefs of Cucine Popolari. The employees of Grand Tour Italia will serve the meals, aiming to replicate the warm, familial atmosphere typical of the organization. Throughout the day, the public will have the opportunity to meet the volunteers of Cucine Popolari and make direct donations to support their projects. Donations can also be made through the Grand Tour Italia website.
The day’s entertainment will include musical performances by Teo Ciavarella, a pianist, orchestra conductor, and jazz piano teacher at the Martini Conservatory in Bologna; Paolo Buconi, a violinist, singer, actor, and composer; Federico Aicardi, a singer-songwriter; Checco Coniglio, a jazz musician; Valentina Mattarozzi, a singer-songwriter; and Claudio Rosa, a guitarist. Additionally, the event will feature the humorous contributions of Zap & Ida, cartoonists, writers, and humorists who tackle serious social issues with irony, as well as sketches by Giovanni Cacioppo, a comedian, cabaret artist, actor, and TV host.
