Candlelit tours - Pieve di Cento

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Trinity, the FAI group of Pieve di Cento is organising a special candlelit evening opening of the Church and Oratory of the Santissima Trinità in Pieve di Cento.

Inspired by the reforms of the Council of Trent, at the beginning of the 17th century a Confraternity was established, creating one of the most remarkable examples of an oratory, together with facilities dedicated to welcoming pilgrims and providing healthcare. The decoration of the complex was entrusted to pupils of the Carracci school. Lionello Spada, Lucio Massari and Francesco Brizio adorned the church with a cycle of masterfully executed frescoes. Each painting speaks the language of eternal beauty, an unexpected marvel in the Bolognese plain.
