From 17 to 27 September 2026, perAspera, a festival of contemporary performing arts directed and curated by Maria Donnoli and Ennio Ruffolo, returns to Bologna and its Metropolitan City.
Margine mobile is the title of the 19th edition: a liminal and temporary zone, an expanding periphery, a space on the margins that moves to the centre. Theatre, dance, music, performances, installations, photography, encounters and participatory practices will take place across spaces dedicated to culture, care, memory and everyday life, bringing artists, venues, territories and communities into dialogue.
The perAspera Festival is organised with the contribution of the Municipality of Bologna | Culture and Creativity Department, the Emilia-Romagna Region and Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna, with the support of the Equal Opportunities Department of the Municipality of Bologna - General Cooperation Pact for the promotion and protection of the rights of people and the LGBTQIA+ community, as part of Bologna Estate, the summer programme promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna - Bologna-Modena Tourist Territory.
