On May 17 and 18, Pier Paolo Pasolini Park will host the Gran Festival Internazionale della Zuppa of Bologna.
The Festival is a lighthearted and popular soup competition that has been bringing the city of Bologna to life for over 15 years.
It’s an open, community celebration held in public spaces, enlivened by street performers and dedicated to the sharing and blending of recipes and cultures, flavors and knowledge.
By nature, the Festival is intergenerational, intercultural, and international in scope.
This year’s edition features free workshops for adults and children on Saturday, and on Sunday, the playful soup competition. The winners are selected by a mix of judges and curious attendees, who cast their votes for their favorite soup in special voting booths.
Both days of the Festival are enriched with live music, performances, street art, and a strong sense of community.
The event is promoted by the Associazione Culturale Oltre, with the sponsorship and support of the San Donato/San Vitale District of the Municipality of Bologna.
