CLOSER - Becoming the city, Bologna Estate 2025's exhibition that, through different artistic forms, explores the dynamics of contemporary relationships, starts on Wednesday, May 21. Venue of the review will be the Pavilion and in the green area of Piazza della Costituzione.
The program, articulated between May and July, is curated by Amerigo Mariotti and Giorgia Tronconi, artistic directors of Adiacenze.
After an inaugural edition focused on the themes of communication and information, with a tribute to the scientific legacy of Guglielmo Marconi, this year the festival shifts focus to urban space as a place of encounter and interaction. On the bill are exhibitions, meetings, DJ sets, performances and workshops that will involve artists, scholars and collectives from local, national and international circles.
The Pavilion, originally built for the Paris International Exposition in 1925 and rebuilt in Bologna in 1977, thanks to the project promoted by Adiacenze, is transformed into a focal point for reflection on the present and future of cities, on the modes of living, coexistence and the transformations taking place in the urban fabric.
