Biografilm Festival

Biografilm Festival | International Celebration of Lives is the film festival dedicated to life stories, quality fiction and documentary cinema. Since 2005, during ten days in June, Biografilm Festival brings to a passionate audience the best of Italian and international documentaries and quality fiction, with particular attention to the enhancement of female and emerging talents. Over the past eighteen years, the Festival has pushed boundaries to offer its audience a wide range of imputs for understanding life in all its forms and the complexity of contemporaneity.

Every year the festival showcases known and lesser known life stories that deserve to be told. In addition to several screenings in cinemas and in charming "open air" locations, Biografilm features multidisciplinary events, meetings, workshops and training for both audiences and film professionals. Biografilm Festival aims at spreading film culture as a tool for inclusivity and dialogue between different realities and generations. This goal has been pursued over the years by building networks and partnerships with various organizations operating in Bologna and all over the country.
