From 3 February 2024, the subway in Piazza Re Enzo will display the photographs from the 2023 edition of the World Press Photo contest, which has been rewarding the best of photojournalism from all over the world since 1955.
Photographers from 127 countries took part in this edition for a total of almost 60,500 photographs. In addition, from this year, the images were divided according to the region in which they were taken (Africa, Asia, Europe, North and Central America, South America, South-East Asia and Oceania) and further into four categories:
