Pier Paolo Pasolini was born in Bologna
one hundred years ago. This exhibition investigates Bologna’s imprint on one of
the most prophetic souls of the twentieth century, from his birth, on 5 March
1922 on via Borgonuovo, to his years in high school and university, where
professor Roberto Longhi ignited his imagination and passion for gurative art –
a revelation that left an indelible mark on his multifaceted creative journey.
That is the premise of the exhibition Folgorazioni gurative in the new
underground exhibition spaces of Piazza Re Enzo. The exhibition explores the
dialogue between the great works of art history and Pasolini’s cinematographic
work.
