IVAN DIMITROV : "GIOCATTOLI E RICORDI-Voci dal passato"

As part of the Art City White Night program - the event that on the night of May 14th, on the occasion of Artefiera 2022, will invade Bologna with artistic events set up in museums, galleries and unusual and particular places - the sculptor lvan Dimitrov presents a suggestive and unusual exhibition of paintings dedicated to toys. The exhibition will take place in the special setting of the building "Casa dei Caprara" in Via Castiglione 43, a historic private residence exceptionally open to the public for the occasion.

The eclectic artist, known above all for the bas-reliefs he has dedicated to Bologna, presents himself as a painter with over 30 paintings depicting ancient toys that convey the seduction of the atmosphere of childhood. The setting, in the 4 frescoed halls of "Casa dei Caprara", is "really" retro and evokes the charm and suggestions of the past and memories.

In addition, thanks to the collaboration with the "Collezione Marzadori - mobili da bambino e giocattoli d'epoca", the exhibition is enriched by real precious toys of the early twentieth century. The atmosphere is of romantic nostalgia, in an exhibition frame so particular that it already looks like a painting. The exhibition, organized by the Galleria Studio Santo Stefano, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bologna-Quartiere Santo Stefano, will be open only on the two days of Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May at the indicated times.
