The exhibition “Il silenzio. La corsa epica di Marco Simoncelli” ("The silence. The epic race of Marco Simoncelli"), planned by Musei Civici of Imola, will open to the public on Friday, April 1st, and can be visited until June 12th. It will be placed in Rocca Sforzesca, where visitors can find 50 pictures made by the photographer Mirco Lazzari, whose work returns Marco Simoncelli's profile as a public character, famous for his racing, but also several intimate and less known aspects, such as his emotions, hardships, hopes and humanity. His sporting feats and his fate have made him a legend. The ability to catch deeply the emotional side of the characters of his pictures makes Mirco Lazzari's project more than a reportage of a sports career: it is rather a sharing and affictionate story, supported by friendship. The journey is structured as a large story made by images. The exhibition follows an editorial project released in 2021 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Marco Simoncelli's passing.
